A Scots language derivation of the Old English word hlinc meaning “rising ground, ridge”. The non-arable land beside the sea is where the modern game of golf came to life and thrives. Links land is characterised by fast running, hard turf, undulations and sand dunes.
The Links Diary is crafted in Scotland for the discerning golfer. We craved a different outlet in todays golf media. A break from swing tips, product reviews and stories from the tours. We wanted to tap into the rich fabric of storytelling. Stories that celebrate golf and the people that shape the game through words, photography and film from the fairways of Scotland and beyond. TLD is a collectable, a break away from the disposable world we live in today.

We exist to represent an alternative perspective on golf. A game that insists on imagination, creativity and free-thinking. We’re obsessed by stories and how people live the game of golf - everybody’s path is a different one.
