It all began with a set of pink plastic golf clubs at the age of three, given to me by my grandfather. He was amazed at how this hyperactive child stayed focused and still for hours, determined to learn how to swing the club and hit the ball. Safe to say, its still a skill I’m trying to perfect.
It was at this moment that golf captured me. Nurtured and nourished by my grandfather every Saturday at his local golf club.
However, as I got older playing golf became rarer and with the passing of my grandfather, I didn’t play for over two decades. The golf clubs wer replaced with a surf board, and the green replaced with the ocean.
